* Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has arrested family members of Lakhbir Singh Landa and Yadwinder Singh on charges related to their association with the asylum gangsters and involvement in criminal conspiracy.
* The charges include sections 384, 386, 387, 212, 216A, and 120B of the IPC, and a case number 107 dated 12-06-2024 has been registered at Police Station Division 6 Jalandhar.
* After registering the FIR, various teams were formed, and raids were conducted, leading to the successful apprehension of the family members of Yadwinder Singh and Lakhbir Singh Landa.
* Persons Arrested: Ranjodh Singh, brother-in-law of Lakhbir Singh; Jaspal Kaur, his sister; and Parminder Kaur, his mother, were arrested in connection with the case. Similarly, Jaikaar Singh, father of Yadwinder Singh, along with Baljeet Kaur, his mother, and Husanpreet Kaur, his sister, were apprehended by the police.
* The arrests were made as part of investigations into extortion-related crimes allegedly conducted by Yadwinder Singh and Lakhbir Singh Landa.
